Last day of Preschool

I am on a roll! I haven't blogged in so long, that I had not even SEEN the new blogger way to upload photos and rearrange! I am in love, and who knows.... may become a better blogger. Bowden had a great year of preschool. He loves school and LOVES his teachers. Ms. Kristi has been his teacher 2 years in a row, and he loves her! Ms. Jennifer was amazing with him showing patience that is indescribable. He made some great friends and is ready to go back!

The bruise on the head.... well, no one knows how that happened! I love his spirit and will miss my Buddy when the time comes. He brings such joy!
He loves broccoli and green beans and really everything. He is easy, although he will only try new things if you tell him Josh Hamilton eats it!

Really?

This morning before 7, as usually a little bug appeared on my side of the bed. As usual, I wrap my arm around that little body and pull him into my bed. This time as I wrapped my arm around him, I noticed something different. He was pant-less. He was sleeping diaper-less. Really? His words:

Mom, I neeeeeed you.

M: What is wrong?

I have poop on my bottom.

M: WHAT???!!!!

Daddy's attention has been gotten now. He says he will take care of it. Cool. He's my man girls! Don't fight!

Well, bug now reappears on my bedside wearing superhero underroos. I asked him if he had gone poop in his diaper. His answer:

yes, just a lilllll bit. And it looks like a dinosaur.

M: WHAT!?

M: Where is your diaper?

B: in the dirty clothes.

M: IN THE DIRTY CLOTHES!!!????

Daddy: Uh, I'll go investigate.

Upon returning, Daddy confirmed diaper was in dirty clothes, and poop was found, but it didn't resemble a t-rex. And it was 'jus a lil bit.' The rest of the poop was in the potty.

I love this boy. Even if when he returned to my bed, had cold feet. AND, he continued to punch me in the chin. I asked him to stop punching me in the chin, but his response was: I trying to get closwer to you. AND GIRLS, he is mine too!

He says the cutest things

If Bowden likes something he is eating or drinking- he will usually make a slurping sound then say this:

SHURELICIOUS!

Have you eaten anything SHURELICIOUS lately?

Thomas the Train

Lauren told me about Thomas the Train coming to the Nokia theater and that the boys would love it! SO, we got tickets and off we went. Getting there was the easy part!

Leaving was miserable! Little did we know we would be stuck on 30W with about 200 million other cars. The thing we didn't know is that a local radio station had postponed their Cinco De Mayo celebration, and we were STUCK in the middle of all the traffic. It horrific! WE SAT STILL FOR 1 HOUR! We only needed to go 1 mile. 1 MILE! It took us 2 hours to go 1 MILE! We saw people getting out of the car and taking care of bathroom emergencies on the side of the road. Thankfully we didn't have to do that.. and the boys didn't have to do it. I did miss Parker's first indoor soccer game though. I made him a video of all the traffic we were sitting in and sent it to Stacey so he could see we weren't just out partying with Thomas! WE WERE STUCK!

Easter 2011 Preschool

It was a rainy day on preschool Easter. The kids were very excited.
He was so excited he didn't even notice I was in the room!

He loved his jello jelly beans. They were very cute and a great idea. He is telling me to wait so he can finish.
Watch out Easter eggs, he means business.
He loved hunting eggs.

Now this precious sweet little big girl... (OH, don't worry, we haven't done any piercing, those are stickers.)

She meant business too! Her eggs were numbered so it was a bit more challenging, but she didn't get frustrated at all.

I just love her.

It's a growing!

Yes, our garden is in progress! This strawberry plant has stayed green all winter, even with all of our snow... and it is the first to produce!
SO FAR, we have 5 tomato, 3 strawberry plants, 2 cucumber plants, a sprite plant and TODAY we bought onions, zucchini, cantelope, watermelon, another kind of tomato, and many herbs. I am still waiting on my peas and green beans. This year we are NOT growing Okra or corn. The Okra did amazing last year, but my family doesn't eat the okra, so we wasted so much. The corn never did produce. This year we are using our space wisely and only planting what we will eat! I'll keep you posted!

Potty Training, life goes on

I have debated on dropping in some of these day to day posts, and so I am going to.

I have been attempting, not very seriously, trying to get Bowden out of diapers. He has been going poop in the potty, MOST of the time for over a month. If he does go in his diaper, he will go hide in the playroom and when we smell it, all we have to do is just look at him and he says: in da toilwet.

He hasn't told me he needs to go potty, I just always do a catch, when I just go put him on the toilwet. I think ONE time at a resturaunt he told us 'toilwet' and Stacey took him. He did go. Monday and Today, he is sporting some big boy underwear. Monday we lasted about 4.5 hours until nap time when I didn't want to chance it. Probably won't chance it today either.

When we do put him on the 'toilwet' he DOESN'T want a potty seat, or a small child toilet chair, he just wants to sit on the big toilet. He half way falls in. As soon as you put him on there, and he does, in fact, need to go... he will tell you to go away. So I obey, and I sit 1 foot away from him on a stool right outside the door. IF I EVEN LOOK AT HIM, he points at me, no words to be said, he needs his privacy. When he has done his stuff, he says, "A LOT a BUNCH!" "A LOT a BUNCH in dir (there)". Sure enough, we have poop. He won't always have to go, or he won't go, and then he will say, "tonight, tonight I will." That stinker.

Now back to the regular show.

A fun day at the RANCH

We went to the ranch for part of Labor Day weekend. We had a blast, and of course I took the camera. What I didn't get a photo of was the tent the big kids and daddy slept in. They did great! Slept all night. I got to sleep inside with B :).
My favorite picture of the day!

Parker practicing his bow! He did so good!

I cropped out the thumbs up!
Love this photo!
Cousins!
Bowden riding the oldest ride at the Ranch. This was Cole's. It only lasted down the hill. It even has a hole in the tire. Like, a literal HOLE with rocks inside of it!
Parker being a COWBOY!

Did someone say, thumbs up?
Cole got in on the thumbs up!

Look at this little doll!
Okay, so the thumbs up is something that B started doing in his photos a few weeks ago. I cannot lift my camera without him giving me one. AND most of them also include the stance on the left!
Brothers.

She loved seeing her shadow!!
GET OUT!
WHAT! I hope Stacey has a BIG STICK!
We also made s'mores! Bowden really loved just catching the marshmallows on fire! There was a burn ban, so we had to roast in the grill.

We had a great time at the ranch!
