Shoes

You may have noticed in my blog header that I have some new shoes, or you may have just flat wondered why I put pictures of shoes on my blog header. These are my new shoes I got for my birthday to replace my old shoes (also pictured on blog header) that I got LAST year on my birthday that started this whole running thing for Jenny. Aren't they cool? I LOVE THEM! They are so comfy. Stacey took me to Luke's Locker in the midst of a huge ice storm for me to be fitted for new running shoes because that is what I wanted. I need to give a HUGE shout out to Luke's in Fort Worth for staying open for us! We were in so much traffic getting down there with all the ice that Stacey kept calling them, and they kept saying... come on, just knock on the door and we will open up for you! HOW COOL IS THAT!? That is very small town to me. That is something my dad would have do for his costumers and I like that. Stacey went back on his birthday and got the same shoe in them men's version. Different color of course!

This weekend is a big weekend. I picked this weekend to bookend my half running career. It is a bit over 1 year since I started my running journey for Jenny and I wanted to finish with a half. My goal was to do more half marathons, but I'll be real, this is my last one for a while. I just don't have the time, or I don't make the time to run the way I NEED TO to train properly for this type of running. I am going to finish this race on Sunday with my head held high knowing I have now finished 2 half marathons. If you aren't busy on Sunday, come cheer us on at the Rock and Roll in Dallas! Hold up a sign for Jenny!

From now on, I will be running 5k's and 10k's. The Gregg Pearson Foundation will also be putting on a RUN for Jenny in October. More details to come....

Isaiah's 3rd birthday

We had a blast at my nephew's birthday party! Lauren did a great job planning it out and finding a great venue! She held it at Addison's fire department. The firemen were so excited we were there and went BEYOND the call to make the kids experience fun.LIKE, rides on this fun thing that they use at Octoberfest and Taste of Addison.

Lauren incorporated the firetruck Thomas the train into the theme.

B took this very serious.

I love how I caught the water coming out of the hose.
Happy birthday Isaiah!

SOCCER SEASON IS HERE!

We have been counting down the days until soccer season started. We love SOCCER SEASON!

I love her face in the above picture. It was right after she scored a goal. This girl is a scoring fool! She loves to score. She usually sets a goal of how many she wants to score and she has been 1 short of that goal. HER GOAL: 6! So, the past 2 games, she has scored 5 goals! Oh, I should tell you, there are no goalies, although... this past game the other team had one girl hang back to play defense.
She also likes to cheer on her brother!

Parker plays on a larger field and a goalie. They also have positions. He loves to play defender, but gets the opportunity to play all positions, he also played goalie this past game. He has scored a goal but has had some MAJOR defensive plays. I love to watch him play soccer.

Bowden is SOOO ready to play and have his turn on the field. I mean he IS ready!!!!

Parker's 7th Birthday

That was hard the type.. the title. My sweet boy turned 7 on the 18th of February! 7 years old! OUCH! He is so cool.He was super thrilled because Stacey was WA
TCH DOG for his school on his birthday. SO, that meant he got a super cool lunch treat- Whataburger!

He also got to pick out a treat to bring to his class. He chose St. Patrick's Day cookies. No biggie.Bowden just made himself at home at a desk. He fit right in since he thinks he is 6 anyway. That night we celebrated with Snuffers, and I took him to Target to use his birthday money for something. He chose a new DS game and an OCEAN dvd series. I think that there are 10 cd's.
He loves them, and so do I . While watching the movie, he said, " Mom, isn't God amazing!" Yes, he is son. He made YOU!

We celebrated the next day with SKATING!
For Christmas, we had a little incident with a snuggie, Parker was going to get one, but then he didn't get one. Long story. SO, Emaline got him one for his birthday. He was thrilled. Can you tell?

I love you Parker Gregg Pearson!
