Could you please say a prayer for my sweet Emaline? My little girl is sick. She has a urinary tract infection, and for a 2 month old that is a big deal. We have to get the infection cleared up and then we will start a series of test to find the cause. Today she has been cathetered, blood cultured, and given a shot. We have to watch her carefully this weekend to make sure she doesn't spike a fever. If she does, straight to Cook's. Too tired to give the whole story, another day.
God the almighty physician... Please God take away her pain and clear up the infection. Let her rest. Allow the medicine to work and let us have a smooth weekend. Be with her doctors and give them wisdom. Give us patience as the next few weeks will involve series of tests. Protect her Lord.....

just a blog
Today is just a blah day where there is so much to do around the house. Both kids are now asleep and I have have so much to do...but I am blogging. Isn't that funny? I took some pictures off of the camera and wanted to share them with my blog friends. Busy around here. Parker is making sentences like crazy and is infactuated with is cows and horses (whom he tried to nurse last week, another blog another day), Emaline has been sleeping through the night for over a week now. I guess big babies have their perks (14.4 lbs at 2 months). The pink dress is one from 'NISE, per Parker. I love the one where she looks like she is jumping. Almost every morning when Parker wakes up, he asks where "ILINE" is. He then crawls right up beside her and tells her good morning. This is one of those mornings. Sorry that she looks like a deer in headlights. I just like the picture.

Where's CORN?
When your son asks, "Mama, where's corn?" you really should be suspicious. Setting the scene: lunch time yesterday, Parker still wearing his red flannel zip up pjs, sitting at table finishing his veggies, mama at kitchen sink, washing dishes. Parker asked me over and over where the corn was, I told him on his plate (I should have turned around), then he would say, "Pajamas." I explained that yes, he was still wearing his pjs. Finally, I turned around. The plate was clean, the table was vegetable spill over clean. I walked over to him where he was beginning to unzip his pajamas. He reached his hand in and pulled out a pea, then a piece of corn, then I unzipped his pajamas and found the rest of the mixed vegetable medley! All the way down to his toes. We laughed and laughed. I just hope he doesn't try jell-o!

Happy Birthday
On Friday Emaline celebrated her 2 month birthday! I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like just yesterday I was eating Mammy's fried chicken and went into labor! This past week has been crazy. Stacey went out of town for his thirtieth birthday with his dad and BIL. They went to Arizona to Rangers spring training and to golf. I wasn't going to take on the kids all week by myself, so I headed to Waxahachie for some help. Mammy and Aunt Dee were wonderful. From the moment we drove up we were met with Meatloaf, carrots, potatoes, green beans, and of course, banana pudding. I was able to sleep late every morning to wake up to frying bacon, and had lots of extra hands during the day. Saturday we were able to celebrate with Parker's friend Ethan on his 2nd birthday, and then I was able to celebrate love at a wedding shower for my friend Jeff, and STACEY came home. YEAH DADDY! We are all glad you are home. Some pictures from Waxahachie and Emaline's birthday...
Oh yeah, Emaline slept from 11:30- 7:30 last night!!!!YEAH ME!

My son the Zoo Keeper!
It was a warm day at the zoo on Friday, but beautiful. Of course Parker wanted to visit his favorite animals...the elephant. Off we went. He assumed his Elephant watching position (see below picture from last weeks post)...
and as I looked on to watch a baby elephant playing in the water, my son was balancing on the top bar of the fence horizontally on his stomach, then proceeded to fall over head first into the holly bushes. As quick as I could get him (injuring my knuckle in the process) I began to pull my son back to safety. Parker didn't cry, nor seemed scared. He climbed back up to his watching station in awe of God's creation. I, however, kept thinking security would be by soon to ask us to leave. Good times.

Some recent pictures...
Parker woke up last night at 1:00 am by getting sick. He threw up.Couldn't tell from the pictures above! No temperature. Acts just fine. This morning he woke up in a great humor. He had a gross diaper, but is still acting just like his old self. I guess he didn't like my dinner last night! These pictures are some of my new favorites. Parker as a cowboy thanks to MIL and FIL for his birthday, and this outfit is the one husband picked out for Emaline the day we found out we were having a girl.

Boy am I behind!
We had a great birthday for Stacey! I cooked homemade chicken and dumplings on Thursday night and made his favorite cake for dinner. On Friday we met him for lunch, then for dinner I surprised him. The babysitter (thanks Nana) arrived and off I went to meet Stacey at a parking lot. He had no idea what the plan was, so I brought him pants to change into from his jeans. I made him change in the parking lot (sorry if you saw us at JoAnns in Grapevine, but it makes more drama). I told him he must hurry we were late and have a ways to drive. Nope. Just across the street. After dinner we went to a movie! We couldn't even remember the last time we had seen a movie together. If you haven't seen Pink Panther you should. It will make you laugh.
Saturday Stacey took Parker to the Ranch to ride horses. A day to myself..well almost, Emaline slept a lot. We went to eat with Stacey's family at Buca di Beppo for dinner then to MIL's house for cake.
Sunday, Stacey and I were give Maverick tickets for our birthday! If you know us, you know we are MFFL (Mav's fans for life). Giving up our season tickets was so hard, but a necessity for me to stay home. We took our attire to change(yes we wear Mav's shirts) at church then head to ADD area for lunch and MIL and FIL took the kids home with them. We decided on TruLucks to eat in downtown. We had a great surprise to run into a very special family from our old church Preston Road. In fact, they were the host on Wednesday nights were Stacey and I started dating. They were so generous then and now! Yep, they picked up our check without us even knowing it! The game was exciting, although we must have jinxed them since they lost their home winning streak! We even saw some old ACU friends at the game. Thanks BOP and SID for the tickets.
Some kid news. Parker used the Swiffer duster to cheer up Emaline the other night by tickling her. I now know she will have allergies! He was so proud of himself. Emaline is really trying to hold up her head and is sleeping like a princess. She has even gone 6.5 hours!
Tonight we are starting our Tuesday night bible study again. I sure have missed it. See you tonight girls to be CAPTIVATED!

Happy Birthday DADDY!
Happy 30th birthday Husband and Daddy! God created a heart 30 years (+9 months) ago today that is loving, generous, fun, sensitive, and meant for us! I love how God uses you to talk to others, even if that is not my gift and makes us the last one of the church building or restaurant. You are so bold, and we love you for that. I can't wait to spend the next 30+ years with ya babe! Happy Birthday from your fan club!
